anybody for Indian Navy Submarine arm?
History was created when the Indian Navy Everest team(commanded by a submariner) scaled Mt. Everest from the North Face on 18th and 19th of May 2004.The team had commenced the expedition from a depth of 40m from a dived submarine, INS Sindhuraj, off Mumbai. The team created a record for having covered the maximum vertical traverse to the highest point on earth. With this feat, the Indian Navy created had created a world record of placing the first summit of Everest.
